Abstract: Abstract The speech signals, random signals are naturally occurred and it has the independent carrying signal according to the time. To extract the characteristics or features of speech signal is important for the analysis of speech audio signal because it is very useful in classifying these signals based on this features. In this proposed system, the feature extraction is analyzed upon the spoken digit word wav file by using Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) technique and it is implemented with the Matlab Programming. The MFCC feature extraction technique is widely used in speech recognition because it is robust, effective and simple to implement.
