| Abstract: |
In this research paper, the lattice energy of AIBIIIC2VI & AIIBIVC2V type chalcopyrite semiconductors has been calculated. In this work, on the basis of chemical bond theory, a new empirical relation has been developed between the lattice energy and the ratio of the principal quantum number and the electro-negativities of the constituent atoms of the ternary chalcopyrite compounds.
